Dark is my favorite type. I like their concept of using underhanded techniques that do indirect damage to the opponent, such as disabling their items, dealing damage using their own stats. Dark is the type where you want to get as many advantages over the opponent as possible, and the game rewards you for wanting to win that way. I also like that they're an underdog and a misunderstood type. Dark-types have a negative reputation because they're bad, unlucky, or they look evil, but many of them are pretty cute and sweet. Even when they are doing bad things, Dark-types are only doing it for their survival or pleasure, such as Weavile needing to eat Alolan Sandshrew, or Alolan Rattata stealing from houses to eat, or Alolan Persian being brutal for its pride.
