>>52085247I'm not talking about feral porn or whatever. I'm talking about the reception to these characters and how nothing would really change in sexualization if they got rid of the designs you're talking about and instead the focus would be completely on them.
Pokémon fans are the types to heavily sexualize and find quadraped designs attractive. I have to stress this again but look at the reception to Ninetales in PokeSmash, out of almost 400,000 (!) people 68% of them said they would smash Ninetales. Ninetales doesn't have memes behind it, mind you, and it's NSFW growth from September 1st to yesterday surpasses that of Hatterene, Meloetta, Tsareena and Lilligant despite being from Gen I but not only that it surpasses all of them in smash percent except for Tsareena. We're looking at a Pokémon from 25 years ago handily beating Pokémon from the last two gens.
It shows that fundamentally quadraped designs are view pretty favorabily in the framework of Pokephilia even when you get a more normal sample size involved. It is a very exceptional situation involving various parties and a very unique context and construct that helps shape up these results.
In short what I'm trying to say is that Pokémon would still be heavily sexualized even without bipedal designs and in actuality it's only Gardevoir and Lucario that come up on top in terms of pure sexualization. In terms of the perceptions among the popular imagination they dominate pretty hard thanks to the widespread of the vaporeon meme.
