before buying the cart, i was playing it on 2ds via dsimenu++ and i didn't enjoyed my first run -- it was feeling like a chore, i finished the game and i forgot about it.
but later i decided to give a second shot, and i don't know what happened but i really enjoyed this time -- i was battling every trainer, seeing every pokemon and doing any side quests that i could. half through this run my 2ds bricked and since i was enjoying it and never had a pokémon cart before, i decided to buy it alongside a DS Lite.
i've set my goal for the black card because i was really enjoying it and again, because it was my first pokémon cartridge.
for the record, back in 2007 through 2009 i've played diamond and platinum and i recall having positive feelings about them at the time, so that's why i decided to revisit Pt this year.
