I used to think that if you evolved a Pokemon as soon as possible it'd start getting stat increases like
HP +3
ATK +2
DEF +3
SpATK +2
SpDEF +1
Spd +2
while an unevolved Pokemon would keep receiving the same increases low level Pokemon do, usually around +1.
As such, I never wait for a Pokemon to learn a move before evolving, since I prefer the higher final stats.
But lately I've seen posts that imply this isn't how it happens. So, how wrong am I? Can I evolve a Pokemon at level 99 with no repercussions?
