It's just should give more chance to their spin-off and works harder to make a new few pokemons being effective rather that 5 good ones and all the rest being shit
Many people like the rpg system of pokemon and is not complained
If they would need to change the gameplay, I wouldn't think they would something more than megas/dynamax
The other aspects really need a new paint otherwise
I would change things like how you need to capture a Pokemon, the world, the level design, the puzzles or the stories
