Erika stonewalled me for a day. Had to buy like 5 mystery eggs to get Pokémon not available to me yet and level all my Pokémon to 50 (Max level at that point).
Afterwards it was actually pretty smooth sailing. Lost to Giovanni the first time, but it was by a ballhair.
The Legendary birds have a 10-15% catch rate.
Higher than I was expecting.Tips for this run:
1. Always capture Pokémon. Dungeons are actually challenging so you'll need to stock up on tickets. You'll have plenty of money since no buying battle item.
2. Beat each gym at least 10 times before moving on.
3. Don't let completion autism get in the way, refresh missions if they're too long to do.
4. Pick Charmander as your starter, I made the mistake of picking Bulbasaur. Which meant I was locked out of 3 Pokémon until Cinnabar.
