https://imgur.com/a/Q1N4hfwDid you know that in gen 1, the AI literally, provably cheats? And not in the sense where you can just write it off as bad luck or really advanced AI. It actually plays by different rules than the player.
Enemies choose their move when their turn comes around, as opposed to the top of the round like you do.
This isn't as obvious unless you're facing a trainer who uses items, in which case they can use their item after you attack despite items being top priority.
Just thought that was a fun and relevant fact.
