Sony won by a longshot thanks to PS2 being marketed as a console for teens/young adults while Nintendo was subsequently labeled the kiddie table of video games. It doesn't matter HOW good your games are by that point, no kid wants anything to do with that when they'll be seen as total fucking losers while everyone else is causing mass mayhem in GTA or bonding with their fathers over sports games.
