Best case scenario you will have a single high lvl pokemon when entering the gym, since you can't afford to split the xp you've gained thus far with the rest of the team. And you can't choose to level your starter, since it'll die to the elemental monkey instantly.
So you have a lvl 14 patrat or some shit and just hope to god that the enemy lillipup will work up x 3 so you can 3-shot tackle it to death. And if that doesn't happen then it's literally just reset time. This has happened 3 times now. I'm a little bit bitter.
