Being a kid's game is why Pokémon is great, there's enough challenging gritty shit for us already as adults, Pokémon is an escape from it, and accepting that doesn't mean accepting that it has to be a boring rushed piece of shit on a yearly release cycle. Most of the actual problems with the games have very kid-friendly solutions.
