With only the help of his Pokémon and his wits, he needs to either escape or find a way to kill the Zoroark.
The longer the hunt goes on, the more strained his sanity becomes. Each and every set-back is a potential Illusion the foxes are playing on him—he knows they're clever, so he's aware that they could be leading him to an ambush. Is he being manipulated? Are they leading him to a trap? He loses sleep and becomes increasingly more paranoid.
Open end on whether he escapes, kills them, or
whether or not the Zoroark were even targeting him in the first place.
Unless the MC is female, in which case
she ends up mindbroken and turned into a breeding bitch for the pack, no exceptions.
