>>56521916The big problem is that the devs intentionally made interacting with random people you met online a massive hassle. If you could just post a friend code and trade the moment you're both online, you wouldn't need to go through the hassle of specifically coordinating a time and code for trading. Instead, you get three-minute waiting rooms for raids and half a minute of search time for trades, which is utterly incompatible with slow-paced posting like what happens on here. Union circles at least have no timeout while waiting for people to join, but you can't play while waiting and people can't join mid-session, so we can't just post a standard code and have people join whenever. There's also no in-game chat or other proper way to communicate, which makes it frustrating even when you have managed to connect.
If online interactions with specific randoms online were easier, this thread would be a lot more active.
