Cole is the new official gym leader for Icirrus City as well as the second and last gym leader of BW3. In the 5 years between BW2 and BW3 Brycen's (never seen) son Cole dies in Iccirus City from accidentally falling in the city's empty well. Unlike all gym leaders who have trainers to beat before them you'll have to deal with a flood of Frosloss who have invaded both the city and it's gym. Cole does reside in the gym but in a new basement level. If you manage to beat Cole you will earn the "Black Ice Badge" and TM?? "Dead Cold"; a ??? Type version of the move Sheer Cold that has only 1 PP but never missing accuracy.
Still the first ghost leader; and the skull robe is still awesome! And don't worry about the drastic level change between gym 1 and 2, there are some bosses and rival battles and a long way to walk in between so it's all good. And the reason he has a spirit flame at the back of his head is because he fractured his skull in the fall.
