>>40733060>the effect of having somebody else as a co-pilot for all your thoughts, fears, and anxieties could have a huge effect on someone.I think so too, though something to remember is that if her influence started negatively affecting you and your life then you'd start to have more and more negative emotions, which she would naturally correct. There might be some adjustment, but it seems to me that Gardevoir couldn't live or be happy herself if her bond with you was hurting you, so she'd do what she needed to make you (both) happy. Momentary doubts and questions about your changed and merging identities and minds would be natural, and probably alleviated by the comfort of her bond with you. Your happiness and safety is what she wants most of all.
So she'd even want and would enjoy other people in your life who give you positive experiences and feelings. The "Jealous Gardevoir" trope in these threads is probably pretty rare. Granted, I think it is a fair point that it seems Pokemon don't make strong distinctions across species for mating and so it makes sense they also don't make that distinction with humans, thus the bond between Gardevoir and trainer seems like a natural and predictable result.
