It was strongly suggested in Delta Episode that Gen 6 takes place in an offshoot universe where the main difference is Mega Evolution exists.
So what if Gen 7 is back in the previous Gen 3-5 universe, where there are no megas, but instead we get the previous megas as Alola or alternate forms?
