>>40993809Except base set Charizard doesn't give a fuck what energy is attached. That's why people could do things like use it in a Blastoise water deck or cheapen the cost with Double Colorless. It helps that in base the TCG was significantly slower than the modern day rocket tag so you could reasonably evolve a Pokemon or two to Stage 3 in a 6 prize match.
