She seems to have everything well under control until then. Checking Bulba to be sure she actually gives you any meteorites she finds- which is the only thing that you accomplish by being there- and while she couldn't have known that Rayray is out of power but does seem to know it eats them. The notion of an ancient tradition keeper lost in the present day is a neat and sad one but that's never the first thing that comes to my mind.
