>>45551150because kanto and sinnoh are the best games, they feel like much more focused games than their gen 2 and 3 counterparts. their pokedexs are much more representative of a connected environment, and not just pokemon strewn about to try and fit a design in. not to mention a majority of johto and hoenn mons are utterly forgettable like stantler, torkoal, and grumpig. you can look at lickitung and mr mime and just tell theyre kanto niggas, you can look at luxray and lucario and just tell theyre sinnoh niggas. while inversely you can look at corsola, surskit, slugma, and relicanth and not tell if theyre from johto or hoenn. theyre like the forgotten middle children with no realized effort put into them. johto is just a hastily made kanto rehash to cash in on the hype. hoenn is a bit more focused but still suffers from a scatterbrained dex and plot. do you want climate change gangsters as the plot or space deities as the plot? johto just plain steals rocket from kanto showing how clearly it was a rushed game, and the majority of johtofags list being able to go to kanto as the main reason they like soulsilver/heartgold. notice how they always list the gen4 remakes before the gen 2 originals as well. they cant cope in johto without the quality of life changes, meanwhile kanto chads teach cut to their bulbsaur in red and solo the game with him.
