It's insulting to anyone's intelligence unless they are literally toddlers, in which case there are much better games for them to play and have fun with, without having to skip through dialog being spewed by unmoving robots straight out of Resident Evil 1.
It's like Game Freak is stuck in Nintendo's Wii era mindset, where the games were dumbed down and casualized to the point that the games didn't even feel like they were designed by HUMANS, but instead by aliens with no understanding of what level of intelligence children actually have and what they find engaging/fun/rewarding.
Seriously, they are totally disconnected from the real world if they think this absurd casualization is appealing to ANYONE of any age. If anything, very small kids can enjoy the last few games DESPITE the casualization, not because of it.
