>>46719375I did a mono steel type run in Platinum, it was a bit tough but not too difficult, and I wouldn't say I overlevelled either, I went in at about the same level as the champion. You just need to know what types you're likely going to face and be prepared to sweep them first. For example, I had Bastiodon and Empoleon to deal with fire types (fortunately not a big problem in Sinnoh, aside from Flint's battle), Bronzong and Scizor for fighting types, and Empoleon for the occasional ground type encounters.
