Roswell's a tough guy, but he leaves a lot of the thinking to his bounty of psychic types. If they don't hold him back from hunting down the killer himself, they'd likely help him track down so that he can confront the killer with his own woodcutting axe.
If his Slowking ace manages to convince him to run, then Roswell would use those same psychic powers to try and help people get out of there before leaving himself.
Either way, he's got a shot. It's not much, given his headstrong nature, but either it depends on him getting lucky with a couple of blows or if Himiko can convince him to leave, even if more friends die in the process.
