And plus, if they were going to recreate the models, then why are the models a 1:1 the same, with the same textures and poses too?
Do you know how hard it is to make identical models without copy and pasting?
And what about their statements about how this change was going to affect the future of the franchise (as in future gens will not have every Pokemon compatible)?
If they just needed to recreate the models, why would it affect all future titles, and not just one or two titles?
It seems pretty impractical to recreate the models 1:1 with 3DS games, and to not use those 3D models in the following games.
And if this is the truth, then it doesn’t look good at all on GameFreak’s part, highlighting how incompetent they are.
