Just because something is used a lot doesn't mean it's necessarily broken, it just means it's reliable. The closest Lando-T got to being broken was Gen 7 because it could drop Z moves like Z-Fly or Z-Stone Edge that made it way more threatening. Lando-I was always the one getting banned because it could decimate your team since it had both flexible coverage options and speed.

The point is you couldn't switch in on Lando-I unless you had Mega Latias, Cresselia, and I think there was one more but I forgot whom. That the two main ones were weak to Psychic made the Weavile + Lando-I combo really devastating.

Had this saved from the time it was banned. The joke is that it actually does have the tools to beat those counters but the tools just aren't worth using enough compared to how else it could ravage teams.

Lando-I had no effective countermeasures. You could team it up with Tyranitar (Pursuit/Psychic, Flying), Raikou (Volt Switch/Water), and Mega Scizor (U-Turn/Big Physical Attackers) and you had one of the hardest cores to break. Lando-I can run Rock Polish to murder HO, coverage to murder Balance, and Calm Mind or mixed with Knock Off + Superpower to murder Stall.

Mega Metagross could be played around pretty easily since it's not going to break Lando-T/Garchomp, Ferrothorn, and Hippowdon/Slowbro/Starmie at the same time without sacrificing STAB. Besides, Skarm and Mandibuzz dealt with it.

Gothitelle isn't used in Sheddy Stall. And banning Baton Pass from Shedinja makes more sense than banning Sablenite on the basis that Mega Sableye wasn't a real problem before the team was assembled. Baton Pass buffs Shedinja's PP reservoir by 64, which helps it outstall things that can't kill it but that the stall team can't stop, plus gives the thing momentum the team so desires.

Yes, probably. You overestimate /vp/. Only a handful are consistently good players.

Lando needs to go. People saying it's not a threat probably face opponents with them who use them awfully. e.g.
>Setting up while a check is alive and letting Lando die mid-sweep just because the Rock Polish/Calm Mind is already set up
>Trying to sweep/kill while an Azumarill or Talonflame is still healthy and/or Lando is in range of priority
>Not scouting for Scarfers or Sash mons
>Not running a cleric & hazard clearer to prevent Lando from being worn down
>Not running ways to deal with Mandibuzz, Latias, Chansey, etc.

It should go without saying, but I feel the need to reiterate that a Pokemon doesn't look banworthy when it's in the hands of a bad player. And I should mention, just as the meta adapts to try and beat Lando, Lando can actually adapt to since it has the movepool.
