>>53545576>The game is about time travel. No it's not, the game is about treasure, dreams, desire and the positives and negatives of chasing your dreams. The time machine is thrown in at the very last act, if SV actually was a time travel game, maybe this time loop would be mentioned by literally anyone and the word "Paradox" would show up somewhere in the game outside the Pokedex, a fucking app canonically made by a teacher who doesn't know shit.
PLA is actually a game about time travel, time distortions are opening up everywhere, dragging people and pokemon through them causing issues everywhere, and the player is sent from the future by Arceus to fix it. There is zero confusion as to what's going on.
USUM is a game about alternate dimensions and not-alien Pokemon. You meet people from other dimensions, you travel to the worlds the ayys are from to confirm everything you were told, there is no confusion here either.
Then in SV person who 'discovers' the Paradox Pokemon is labeled a fraud.
The person who summons the paradox Pokemon is an obsessed lunatic.
The person who brings you to Area Zero is a lying AI that conveniently appears one day out of nowhere.
And lastly, the being that made this all possible is the enigmatic third legendary that we know absolutely nothing about, who has the ability to let Pokemon change type, something that has nothing to do with time travel.
The only information about the Paradox Pokemon are tabloids with nonsensical information. The game pussyfoots around what the Paradox Pokemon actually are, saying things like "kind of resembles" and "looks like this sketch from a book, even though the book openly states the drawing is made up."
The game caps off the whole time travel subplot by saying "it doesn't make sense."
And yet, in spite of all of this, you people don't go "maybe something else is going on here", you instead make up crazy bullshit like the AI accidentally got sent 200 years in the past and began a made up time loop.
