Goal: Challenge the Johto League
Starter: Eevee -> Espeon (M) - Recieved as an Eevee from my Grandpa as a birthday gift, birthed from his old Umbreon. Runs away a few times because it doesn't consider me a worthy trainer like Grandpa, until one day it's about to get assraped by a wild stray Ursaring disturbed from its hibernation and I shield him with my body, nearly dying in the process. After this it evolves and fends off the Ursaring. After evolving it matures and becomes strongly loyal, now wanting to be a better partner.
1st catch: Hoothoot -> Noctowl (M) - Caught somewhere around Violet City, as Falkner denies me a gym challenge cause I only have 1 pokemon. I call him a cuck who borrows his dad's pokemon and he kicks me out of the gym. Since its nocturnal it's often grouchy and irritated when sent it out in battle, awakening its battle prowess.
2nd Catch: Totodile -> Croconaw (M) - A goofball I caught outside Cherrygrove City, after seeing it flail about in the nearby lake, trying to learn how to swim. A glutton for food. If it's too hungry it'll get distracted in battle. Evolved when stealing Whitney's MIltank's Milk Drink to prevent her from healing, clamping on its utters and ingesting the milk for itself.
3rd Catch: Misdreavus (F) - A shy, curious pokemon who followed me around as I explored the burned tower. After battling Silver, it wanted to get a taste of pokemon battling so I caught it. Apparently it looks up to Morty's Gengar and sees it as a rival.
4th Catch: Lanturn (M) - After drowning in the sea between Olivine and Cianwood because Croconaw cant swim, a friendly Lanturn rescues us and joins the party.
5th Catch: Ursaring (F) - On the road to Blackthorn City to take on Clair, the Dragon Master, I run into the same Ursaring around the mountains of Ice Path who recognizes me and is much stronger than before, having come out of hibernation. I battle it again but this time I hold my own and catch it w/ moon ball
