>>43230902That's actually how the anime was supposed to end during it's pre-production phase. They only expected one season and the original idea was wild Pokemon could only say their name, but as they were trained they'd progress to baby speech and actual speech, as they would get smarter as well, and eventually they would question why they slaves; or something along that line. That's actually why Meowth talks in the anime as well, it was a left-over from the original idea.
