Never felt better to be a gen 1 fag. Don't get me wrong I gen 2 is still close enough to pokemania, I actually logged the most time on gen3 as a kid and gen 4 revamped the mechanics for the better. But after playing BW and seeing beloved mechanics from HGSS taken out combined with the mon designs I liked even less than gen 4 I knew the series was done - at least for me and people like me. I look forward to the post SwSh era of vp where people clearly see the divide between pokemon and nupokemon that began somewhere in gen 5. although the designs were shit by 4.
