1 - Ash, Misty and Brock travel around, and meet more and more of Ash's old companions, each getting an episode and then sticking around as they all form a huge ass travel crew (low probability)
2 - Ash, Misty and Brock travel around together. They meet every companion, who basically gets "character of the day" treatment. They say goodbye to that companion after solving whatever issue they have and go on to meet the next one. (IT'S VERY LIKELY THIS)
