>>50816757>such as how and why a particular trainer has chosen a nickname for one of their monsAha, now THAT is up my alley, I nickname my Pokémon all the time. Have a few examples, I suppose:
>Garchomp, VritraNamed after a dragon from Indian myth, and in my case specifically her interpretation in Fate/Grand Order. Not only does her design match Garchomp and Cynthia strangely well, but she was released on Christmas: my 4* Garchomp hatched on my way home after a particularly bad work day on Christmas, cheering me up significantly. She's my strongest Pokémon by far and I can't wait for her Mega.
>Pidgeot, Dyna BladeNamed after the bird from Kirby: Super Star, who destroyed Dream Land's crops to feed her children. The appearance is a natural fit and it's a female, and since she's 4*s I figured she deserved to be nicknamed to begin with.
>Genesect, VileA purple colour scheme, back mounted cannon and a generally viscious appearance. It's only a natural fit for one of my favourite Mega Man X characters.
This is only a small sample, I simply adore nicknaming Pokémon. Even if the vast majority of my nicknames come from Fate.
