The artist did a very good job of putting in little things that feel like the kind of details that would be expanded on in the final evos. The Jack-O-Lantern face on the bear, flint hooves and hair on the horse, and just about everything about the coral feel like pieces of a puzzle that you don't even think about until you see how they tie into the line's final theme.
