As much as I'm hoping for a remake, I don't think there will be a R/S/E remake this gen.
The reason there was a gen 1 and gen 2 remake was because the hardware of those games were obsolete, and there was no way to connect those two games to the recent gens. If you wanted a R/S/E or R/B/Y Pokemon, you can still transfer to gen 6.
And if they remake R/S/E, they'll have to remake FR/LG too.
