There was a cold harsh laugh, "Running around down there isn't going to get you far, and your time is already running out!"
"But if you really are so eager for more, I will be gladly giving you a little gift very soon now, Hahahahha." The speaker gave off an ominous hiss of static before cutting off, leaving them alone in the hallway.
The door at the end suddenly switched from red to green signally that whatever had jammed it shut was now cleared, for good or ill.
