For pretty much a decade now this franchise's releases has been mediocre at best and blatantly incomplete at worst. PLA was hyped up to be the game I waited that whole fiasco for and it's literally a full-price beta test that got memory holed in less than a month in favor of the same shit.
Pokemon games have never been perfect, but back then there used to be an actual effort from the people behind it to make them a stimulating experience for everyone regardless of age or wether they were good at vidya. We're being carried entirely by nostalgia and yumes/waifufags now. Count me out
