Male Nidoran was my first legit shiny in HeartGold, then I SR'd for a shiny Chikorita. I traded an event Celebi for a shiny Flygon a few days ago. 2 days ago I got a Magikarp chain fishing in X, then caught a Gloom in the Friend Safari yesterday and a Fraxure today. I only really count the Nidoran as a 'real' shiny' though because it was just a random encounter with no increased odds or anything.
