I spent a good part of a year trying to figure out how to get azurill as the last pokemon in the dex in ruby. Ended up breeding like 3 boxes full of marill until I discovered the internet and learned you needed the sea incense. I also fucked up my first run of colosseum because I kept trying to find the "snagem machine" in my items but could never find it. By the time I decided to just throw a fucking pokeball I was well into pyrite town and missed the opportunity to use the johto starter in my party so I just reset my save. To add to the overall fuckery that was my first run, my umbreon seemed to be more damage than tank and vice versa for my espeon. I swear it might've just been an acid trip but the stats seemed to go back to normal on the next run.
