>>56374533Thread seems to have devolved into pure shitposting but as for an actual answer the issue with actual dinosaur pokemon is they don't feel as special since so many pokemon already invoke dinosaurs. Look at Scyther which is basically a mantis raptor, especially so in its older art where its always hunched over, it just makes any pokemon with only a raptor basis seem too tame in comparison. This is why fossils should stick to more obscure prehistoric life, there are so many pokemon that already are so dinosaur like that the idea of a t-rex still existing doesn't feel too fantastical for the setting.
