do note the SOMEWHAT in the creative tiers, because Paradoxes are inherently derivative and I can’t even call Walking Wake anything more than, like, 70% original. Even with how much it diverges, it shares so much DNA with Suicune that impossible to see it in a context unrelated to the original legendary beast
The bikes are also kind of cheating since they’re about as new and fresh as the design they’re derived from, but Miraidon takes it a step further by actually innovating on Cyclizar somewhat (replacing the wheels with jet boosters, changing the throat sac into the world’s coolest lava lamp, lightning bolt antennae, etc) whereas Koraidon is kind of just “Cyclizar with more stuff on it”
Even with the three good (arguably great) designs we got out of the idea, Paradoxes suck enough as a concept that I truly wish they never existed. They’re the same time of awful dex bloat as Convergents and nothing but shitty marketing gimmicks to try and push the newest games.
Slither Wing looks way too similar to Volcarona to stand on its own. It just gets bonus points for trying ANYTHING new and not looking like a horrible mess while doing it, unlike Iron Treads or Raging Bolt.
