>>49863469I know it is pointless to reply to any post that has the word "Verily" in it, but I'm going to just this once for fun.
...Though most of what I might say to you has already been brought up above. People don't view the Pokemon world in the way you do, people who grew up seeing it one way are unlikely to change their minds no matter how persistent you are because Nintendo doesn't care about being consistent and as such, through the anime and PMD and even the games sometimes has built in most fans minds a version of the Pokemon world that does not match the one you hold up as the "objectively correct" version, as if that could even be a thing.
If sexual attraction is baggage that doesn't allow children to have a good thing, I guess children can never watch any movie or TV shows with adults that people might be attracted to in them? No good anime with adult characters in it for kids? No video games that might have characters that people might be sexual attracted to, because somehow kids are going to know that and it will ruin it? I'm not sure what your argument is here at all.
In fact, your entire "thing" doesn't seem to have any logical conclusion aside from "it makes me feel strange that people are attracted to Pokemon when I personally view them as animals, so don't" which isn't really that great of an argument. What harm is it to you if someone wants to envision a world of Pokemon with romance between the two different species in it? You must understand by now that your head cannon is, like, ten inferences away from most other fans.
>>49863537Thanks for the context! This same episode has the Pokemon gathering together to make the best of a bad situation and helping people in their work like humans, and reacting emotionally like humans (like animals would understand the concept of a party). Heck, Woboffet presents her with a flower right after that scene and May calls it romantic. I think the bowl is just Pokemon food.
