Magmortar has this "sinister pyromaniac jester with arm cannons straight outta Mega Man" look going on, and Electivire is like a gorilla-yeti mash up.
Neither are my #1 but in recent years, I've been really taking a liking to their lines, each stage of both lines has a unique and cool feel to them and I wish earlier gens gave you Magby and Elekkd earlier on like B2W2 or SM/USUM goddamn.
If anything, gen 4's new pre/evos are like one of the biggest pleb filters in Pokemon along with Gen 5. Whenever I see someone blanket hate all of the evolutions and/or Gen 5, the worth of their opinion just drops entirely for me.
