No, you got stockholm syndrome with a design.
The vast majority are shit with ugly as hell designs, dumb choices, furry anthro shit that the furfags will defend to hell and back because of course they will, and are just all around unappealing. A few interesting concepts but are just that. And no, a good concept =/= good design. Most of the Pokemon this gen feel like they're from entirely different series.
My personal favorites are Falinks and Mr. Rime, and even those I feel could've easily had their designs improved. Overall easily the worst generation we've had, the most terrible designs and the fewest good (or even decent) designs.
