>cute little cloaked grim reaper with a skull mask, with a spirit ball floating around inside that resembles a single eye, a very iconic and solid design>evolves into a cyclops that keeps the skull teeth, banded visual design evokes Japanese lantern ghosts as well as mummies, is simultaneously charming and creepy, looks like exactly the kind of damned soul that would wander around a foggy graveyard at night, the eye is simultaneously soul-piercing and endearing, perfect concept and execution of a ghost-type Pokemon>DURR LET'S MAKE IT FLOAT AGAIN, AND GIVE IT A LAME-ASS SCOWL! AND INSTEAD OF RUNNING WITH THE MUMMY LOOK, WE GAVE IT SOME YELLOW STRIPES AND WRIST CUFFS AND A POPPED COLLAR, AND IT'S GOT A GIANT FIVEHEAD, AND UHHHH IT HAS AN ANTENNA ON ITS HEAD FOR CHANNELING THE DEAD LMAO SO SPOOPY XDDD!!! OH AND A BIG FUNNY JACK-O-LANTERN FACE ON ITS BELLY BECAUSE ITS TORSO LOOKED TOO PLAIN AND WE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT WOOoOoOoOO!!!I know the gen 4 cross-gen evos are typically hit-or-miss with most people, but I still like most of them and appreciate what they bring to the table, and how they end up making some uninteresting Pokemon interesting. But fuck Dusknoir, it's such a mish-mash of bullshit and completely throws away everything the Duskull line has going for it. I'm just glad that Eviolite Dusclops pulls a Chansey/Blissey on it and gives me a reason to never have to evolve it.
>>38102191The damage done to the fandom by having a canon "Pokemon god" is irreparable. It's not my least favorite design by a longshot, but I just hate the concept of a divine creator Pokemon, and the lore creep in general.
