But then came Greninja and was the biggest hit i've seen in nearly 20 years and proving me wrong. I was even more impressed because we got a starter that became exceedingly popular so far into the franchise. Greninja kinda became "that one new cool starter" in the eyes of most normies i've seen, which surprises me because i never thought they'd say something like that considering how die-hard Genwunners most of them are. You need to land everything in an absolutely perfect way to get through such a dense viewpoint, and Greninja managed it. It's great. Kinda made me realize that the franchise still has lots of staying power.
