Every game so far had around 200 pokemon in the regional dex (aka the ones scattered wild across the region), and no one ever cried about it.
What is new with Gen 8 is that there is no national dex, aka you can't obtain the pokemon that arent found wild in Galar by transfering them from other games.
Not only does this mean some Pokemon can't be obtained at all, but it also mean the regional dex (aka the pokemon findable in the wild) will be fucking massive, which will make everything feel romhackish and drown the new pokemon in hordes of older ones (like it was the case for Kalos).
