I don't talk with people about Pokemon, and I don't let anyone know I do, either. It probably helps that I have no friends who play it, either.
My college was doing a "Stress relief" thing in the dining hall last week and I was waiting on line for a haircut behind a guy who was playing SMTIV, which was exciting to me because I've never met another person who plays SMT before. We talked a little, and he told me how he just got into it because he got distracted from in when the new Pokemon game came out. Turns out we had a class together (he recognized me as the guy who sat in front and fell asleep a lot).
I woulda liked to hang out with him some more but he's a senior and I'm a junior so we're probably never gonna see each other again.
The night before that I was studying while overhearing some nerds greentext IRL and make "HOENN CONFIRMED" jokes (the night before Hoenn WAS confirmed, oddly). That enough made me know I didn't want to associate with them.
