Now I don't give a shit about the new series, not because I hate it or consider Ash a good protagonist, but because a lot of what I knew about this franchise was during his journey and I'm not interested in getting involved in something like that again.
It's as if Oda retired Luffy, but the adventures continued with the search for One Piece with new characters, there would be those who continued watching that, but the majority would simply abandon, this happens when you have a protagonist for so long.
