https://unite-db.com/And check exactly what their special stats scale up to, and how much of their special stat is given as a bonus ratio to increase damage.
For instance Gardevoir and Ninetails Can reach close to or over 1000 special attack rating, however the ratio of their special attack that's added to their abilities are pretty small compared to someone like Mr Mime who also has a much smaller special attack rating.
So a bonus if an extra 96 special attack will give much bigger damage increases to certain pokemon compared to others which will receive basically nothing.
TLDR; math and research too difficult for unite players.
