For example, its often been mentioned here how Lucario got special mentions and buildup even before he debuted, with PMD hyping him up as the best thing ever and getting a whole movie for himself before the fact. I prefer the fan favorite way, kinda like how Arcanine has never had particular prominence, but yet remains very beloved by the community and gets lots of merch because of its popularity
>2When they begin promoting Pokemon that aren't particularly beloved and ignore options that have proven to have lots of appeal. I never understood why Gliscor and Gallade got so ignored by the marketing team when do many people liked them. Maybe the same applies to Primarina that consistently turned out to be the most popular of it's Gen, but was comparatively ignored compared to it's peers.
