I didn't particularly enjoy Gen V, I didn't like the designs and various other things (and I'm still fucking irritated about the loss of the VS Seeker which I feel gave the world a sense of progression).
Black and White 2 were pretty big improvements though. Still didn't like them as much as Platinum but they didn't annoy me as much.
I'm not looking for a discussion over whether Gen V was good or not but I am wondering whether X and Y does enough to impress those disappointed by black and white.
