I get that competitive battling isn't for everyone, but there's no reason why GF couldn't do it. They obviously have the capabilities since it Showdown wasn't made by professionals.
I should be able to set up my own banlists.
I should be able to set up tourneys.
There should be some ranking/leaderboard system so I don't have to constantly face scrubs.

This is what really bothers me about the series. The online multiplayer is SO shallow. It's 2013. There's no excuse. With a series as much depth as pokemon, a proper online multiplayer should be MANDATORY.
And you know what.
I doubt we'll even get 6v6 Lvl 100 in VI.
A feature we had in IV, but was taken out for god knows why in V.
