Is funny when you think about it, I'm pretty sure the staff could write Ash like how he was before the BW soft reboot. Hell, even his BW persona still retained that classic Ash personality despite being incompetent. But for some reason, the writers refuse to go back and are determined to keep him super goofy. I wouldn't surprised if by the next Anime he had completely forgotten how to use a smartphone
